Narrative
The camera follows a young girl (played by Sanjidha) wandering around in various places; her expressions show that she is trying to re-visit some of her past and look around to find something or someone. She wanders through busy high streets like Oxford Circus, looking lost. There are various flashbacks in which the main character thinks of the memories she had shared with her long gone boyfriend. Another character (played by Rachel) comes through and starts singing the song. Throughout the video, we see some flashbacks and the couple during happy days and the main character in present. By the end of the video, the audience will realise that she has finally overcome her sorrow; this is clearly connoted through the shot where a photo of the couple are ripped up by the main character.
The video starts off with Sanjidha walking around through a busy place like Oxford Circus, looking very confused. After around 4-5 seconds, the video shows Rachel singing the song with a hint of a sad expression on her face, this scene is shot in Trafalgar Square. After the lip syncing scenes, the flashback of the couples come in. The flashback shows the happy times the main character had, and in this particular flashback, they are at a carnival/festival type location; this is shot at Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park London. Over the next seconds, there are frequent switched between the singing scenes of Rachel and the main scenes of Sanjidha. By the end of the video, we see the that the main character is back home, and she takes a look at an old photograph of her with the boyfriend; as a clear show of overcoming her sorrow, she rips it up and leaves the room; She has moved on and the video ends with an optimistic message. The singer character played by Rachel also moves on without clarity of what she is moving on from; this creates a mysterious ending in which the audience will have to make up their own minds on what happens.

Song using:
Hayley Williams' cover of 'Use Somebody' By Kings Of Leon
Reason:
- Not the typical love song ideology
- The Story fits in with the song
- Allows freedom to experiment with conventional and unconventional features
- All group member equally accept it
The Pitch:
We are making a music video to go with Use Somebody, originally by Kings Of Leon. We have chosen the version/cover by Hayley Williams as this would be an appropriate option, so that we can have a character in our music video to lip sync to it. Our main decision to choose this song to for our project was influenced by the main themes of love and post break-up depression; These themes are well known and can often relate to our target audience of Young Adults.
Target Audience and how you will appeal to them:
The target audience are young people who are closely in touch with the new music/songs in the music industry. Our main subject of the music video, love, can be directly linked to young peoples life and the consequences of it. It will also make it easier for young people to understand the same emotion which is displayed in the video, as many will have experienced something like it at one point.
